Review
STORY / GAMEPLAY Batman, aka Bruce Wayne, the famous millionaire and superhero, is called once again to confront and put an end once and for all to two of the worst criminal minds and bad villains of the world: Riddler and Two-Face. This game is a mix of side scrolling platform action and man-to-man martial arts combat. Controlling Batman, you must jump, open doors to move further, kick and punch multiple bad guys until you find the mean big bosses. You can also use some of Batman's gadget-weapons that will surely make things easier. Batman Forever is a very good and fun game.
GRAPHICS / SOUND Developing this game, Acclaim surely had in mind the pre-rendered backgrounds and the digitized characters they used on the Mortal Kombat series. This game sports beautiful and colorful graphics, with digitized sprites that move around the screen smoothly. I would expect, though, more frames per sprite on the SNES version, which has better graphics and more colors than the Megadrive version. The sound offers some good sampled sounds FX and a nice music score -the music is quite weird actually...
