Striker Pro - The best CD-i football game ever, challenges you to put your drippling skills to the limit.
Striker ProThis is the official game of World Cup USA 94. The game features 64 teams worldwide waiting to be chosen for a Friendly, World League or World Cup competition. The game is played on a bird-eye view. The gameplay is simple, having simplistic movements like running, shooting, passing etc, much like the well known "Kick Off" from Anco or "Sensible Soccer" from Sensible Soft (actually it reminded me the game called "Goal" on Amiga and ST!). Note that the game also features numerous gameplay settings like choosing playing location (gym, or outdoors), weather conditions, arbitration, time of play. short, configurable. Pretty nice overall.

The graphics on the CDi are excellent, featuring smooth and fast animation of the players at the pitch, good vivid colors and detailed design (i.e. note the nets on the goalposts, the shadows on the pitch from the surrounding etc). In terms of graphics, the game reminded me the famous Kick-Off series from Anco. As with the player models, the animations are also minimal due to the game's camera angle. The sound is also good and consists of digitized crowd voices, tinny jeers for fouls, as well as decent sounds for ball kicking etc.
