Review
Striker ProSTORY / GAMEPLAY
As a sports game, there's no actual story. Striker Pro is the official for the World Cup USA 94. It includes 64 National teams and it can be played in Friendly, World League or World Cup mode, from a top-down view. The gameplay is simple (as in almost all soccer games of the time), with basic movements like running, shooting, passing, dribbling, much like the popular Anco's Kick Off or the "Sensible Soccer" from Sensible Software. Striker Pro actually reminds me of Goal, the soccer game for the Amiga and Atari ST). Note that the game also features a variety of gameplay settings like selecting and setting playing location (gym or outdoors), weather conditions, arbitration, time of play.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics on the CD-i are fantastic, featuring smooth and fast players animation at the pitch, vivid colors and a few neat details (i.e. note the nets on the goalposts, the shadows cast on the pitch from the surroundings etc). In terms of graphics, the game is very close to the Kick-Off series.. The game's sound is soccer classic and consists of sampled crowd cheers, tinny jeers for fouls as well as decent sounds for kicking the ball while passing or shooting.
