Super Mario 64STORY / GAMEPLAY
Nintendo's most popular mascot character of all time, Mario, makes his debut on a full 3D environment with the launch of Super Mario 64 in 1996. The fat Italian plumber who had previously starred in so many remarkable 2D platform games, headlined Super Mario 64 to a revolutionary genre with free-roaming analog degrees of freedom, large open ended areas and true 3D polygons as opposed to the 2D sprites of the past Mario titles. The game features colorful 3D worlds, cartoon style looks and clever little puzzles.
The player controls Mario through a variety of levels and each level is an enclosed world in which the player is free to roam in all directions and search the environment without time limits. The worlds are swarmed by enemies that attack Mario as well as friendly creatures that provide assistance, information or ask for a favor with the relevant reward. Super Mario 64 is an absolute stunner for the N64's games library.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are awesome with vivid, colorful, 3D, open environments and smooth animation. The sound features cool music tunes as new interpretations of the familiar melodies from the earlier Mario games, fantastic and funny sound effects and countless lines of voice dialogues. Note that some dialogues and sounds differ between the Japanese and the US / EUR version of the game. Overall, Super Mario 64 is a great platform gamibg experience and even today it remains so amazing and fun to play.
